Ok! You know that I love what I do right! But it's something about the Family Sessions to capture each individual personality. Some of my favorite locations that I like to use for family photo sessions are Hammonds Ferry Boechkh Park,

, Savannah Rapids, and inside homes and outside in parks, travel to the beach. I do like posing and also like capturing lifestyle candids I like to keep it natural, but of course, there are still decisions to be made when it comes to preparing for a family session.

Picking your photographer

I suggest finding a photographer that fits your personality & style

Planning Attire :

it doesn’t need to be a “ State Farm” commercial, you don't need to be matchy-matchy in your khakis.

Having your outfits complement one another is the key. Pick a color scheme that everyone can work with and you will love the outcome. Tell your family about the photo session coming up, and get them excited!

Depending on the ages of the children they may have some poses they are excited about. Brainstorming is part of the fun!

Don't be afraid to include an incentive for good behavior"

The shoot is going to be a lot of fun, so frame the experience in a positive!

Prepare Small Snacks

Make sure everyone is well-fed and rested and also feeling cheerful goes a long way in a photoshoot. Be sure that everyone is fed an. You are welcome to bring snacks! Great snacks to bring Jelly beans, cheese cube, goldfish crackers, dried fruit. Bad snakcs : Chocolate, lollipop, ice cream, or anything that takes a long time to eat. These all make good post-shoot bribes!

Back UP Clothes

This has not happened to me in a long time. But bring an extra set of clothes for everyone or at least for the kids. Just in case we have an accident right before or during the session. Wear clothes that make you feel good! There's nothing worse than feeling self-conscious in your outfit. We have all been there.

If you are worried about the fit of your clothing going to show: you're going to be tugging at your hemlines. Make sure you are comfortable in your outfit. Confidence comes through in your poses and expressions and if you are relaxed and happy you will Look it!
